The North Carolina Pirate Party was formed on September 28th, 2025 by James Nguyen, a third-party activist who started getting involved in third-party politics earlier this year with a podcast called The Political Freedom Fighters. The PFF Podcast seeks to promote Third-Party and Unaffiliated voices in North Carolina to rebel against the two-party system.
